The Dora Canal is a mile-long river that connects Lakes Dora and Eustis. The beauty of the cypress trees and other native subtropical vegetation along with possible sightings of bald eagles, alligators, egrets and turtles through the picturesque Dora Canal has made cruising this canal a popular pastime for more than a century. Several companies offer one- to two-hour cruises departing from the Lakeside Inn or the Mount Dora Yacht Club.
